Ondansetron Injection
Complete control over nausea and vomiting. Potent antiemetic agent. Reduces vomiting and facilitates oral rehydration in gastro-enteritis. Safe and effective in children. Lacks sedative, dysphoric and extrapyramidal symptoms.
Post-operative nausea and vomiting (PONV), Chemotherapy-induced nausea, Gastroenteritis
As directed by the physician. Usually 4-8mg IV/IM before anesthesia.
Headache, constipation, dizziness, fatigue. Rarely allergic reactions.
Use with caution in patients with QT interval prolongation.
